Freeze without an Answer

(December, 2005)

"Reader do not favor me, she’s God’s grace and serenity,
I’m simply the beast—decent, but still seeking purity."

The night began with melancholy thoughts of work related countenance
Female free mind from a damaged heart—now beaten to a callus

The air was bitter cold with a sickening wind chill.
The cold went on—he bundled up and remained still,

He gathered garrulous thoughts of the younger crowd,
‘Interesting, yet common’—though, he’d never mention this aloud

For a lengthy amount of time he believed all beings created equal,
But then existed one to suggest this ideal quizzical.

A bright beam was brought to his attention,
It was the shimmer of earrings on God’s exception

A pronounced creation glistening in the limelight—Gaea’s torture,
For what mankind would give to touch her—let alone hold her?

What woman would give for her hips, her stature, her cheeks—her lips,
Every part of her perfect—A breathtaking femme fatale—completely harmonic.

For here within his presence was Psyche,
The human that wooed Eros—son of Aphrodite

He sank in his seat admiring her from a distance,
Trying to hide from her fever starting eminence.

He shrugged her off in an attempt to shun away the notion,
But his thoughts combined, compiled and consolidated into one emotion.

Feeling lonely—though not alone—he deemed it necessary to say farewell,
To his site first seen love, his chimerical life, and his family stricken crowd.

But in an unfortunate incident, he was pulled aside,
By his cousin—the one that consumed his best friend’s mind.

Fleeing to the left and fleeing to the right,
He tried to escape, but failed—completing an embarrassing site.

Drunk—yet sophisticated—the cousin sensed something wrong,
Sizing up the solution, she walked over and pulled his friend along.

......

Trapped in a far separate zone,
His friend experienced this time alone.

Nervous at first, the boy made his way to her slow,
Now behind her he reached forward and his face began to glow.

Ashamed of touching such beauty; the boy sighed,
And nervously attached his knuckled hands to her sides.

Her soft streaming aroma controlled his human mind,
She was wearing the voice of the sirens; made chemically divine.

He bumped into her a few times; she apologized once and hugged him from behind,
Such a momentous occasion; in that instant, the boy inside him died.

With his confidence built up, he placed his hands a little above her hip,
An incredible warmth shot through his frozen five-fingered grip.

And with that, the iciest airs on the highest point of Everest,
Could not sever the heat created from human kinds purest,

The warmth he felt was such to that of a mid-summer nights dream,
Her heat could displace a cold rushing front into a perfect spring breeze.

This power alone was hers to control,
And in that moment, she let him go.

He was shaking, forever shaken,
His loving warmth she had fully taken.

Frozen solid, he returned to his seat,
Little to his knowledge, she had one last feat.

Then began the music, a different type of music—not often heard,
It goes beyond that of a contemporary sound or word.

It is such a sound that plays within the midst of heads,
This beat runs softly—attuning the host into acts of malice or benevolence.

This tune beats on, controlling movements, thoughts and actions,
Hosting a rhythmic beat that is pre-determined, for fate allows only a minds reaction.

The boy once questioned fate—more so his destiny—could he change it still,
He was slapped down, mocked, over powered by the divine will.

.......

His thinking interrupted, he’d finish his thought another time,
Just like an angel she began her descent and made a glide by.

She took host to a lingering smile, followed by a gleam in her eyes,
Transcending an uncertain message—that she was incapable of lies.

And did he trust this? He did not know.
But for a minute the world sat still.

The chatter, the laughter, it did not persist,
The music and her, was all that exist.

And in that moment he felt real; or more so than he had ever felt,
A celestial bliss created; that made his outer shell melt.

The warmth of sun, the distance of stars, and the colossal sky he could feel,
After that moment his moments weren’t moments and the rain felt real.

Another second, another minute,
Time elapsed.

His thoughts—his mind; now completely out of place,
His head now trapped in a state of imaginary grace.

Eyelids fall heavy and thoughts collide,
A moment he’d suspend for the rest of time.

That was it, there was nothing else, his mind overlapped,
That was all he remembered of his dream recollected revamp.

Feelings unchanging and containing regrets, wishing he could change what he never had,
A great sadness this did bring, from words anticipated but never said.

Drained of thought—save the girl he never knew,
You stopped the world when I met you.
